This retirement stuff in Florida is making the days just whiz by. I'm not complaining but cannot believe how I lose track of the day of the week. Each day has something going on either Bunco, Mah Jongg, Bingo two days a week, Shuffleboard, Hand in Foot cards, and somewhere along the way I should do chores!</p><p><b>ONLINE CLASSES</b></p><p>Our online classses continue to move along - that's one thing that does not slip my mind though I may be tardy occasionally.</p><p>Speaking of Online Classes we are getting ready to introduce a new class. The class will be conducted over 6 months with one lesson posted about mid-month for each session. This piece will be the <i style="font-weight: bold;">Memories of Hawaii.</i> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4HhYGaNAW1pwfl3pqj7F2aPvoJHodn3XiMeu4W7PHMqocveqWK-Ao9TTtkeywXL25BqQpi-uFhfow9g0wANeNE4w5BbtGJkRqdw-V1B6P9MHB69A-TWqYvDuTaOee-uG-vd0j21sfvdusOXOLDSzU2wkVri98PzNp9zpVonF9sv7mqxMSGqgJBNDiw08/s2891/Memories%20Hawaii%20Finished.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2637" data-original-width="2891" height="584" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4HhYGaNAW1pwfl3pqj7F2aPvoJHodn3XiMeu4W7PHMqocveqWK-Ao9TTtkeywXL25BqQpi-uFhfow9g0wANeNE4w5BbtGJkRqdw-V1B6P9MHB69A-TWqYvDuTaOee-uG-vd0j21sfvdusOXOLDSzU2wkVri98PzNp9zpVonF9sv7mqxMSGqgJBNDiw08/w640-h584/Memories%20Hawaii%20Finished.jpeg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p>Hand Painted Needlepoint design on 18 ct Monocanvas. The design area is approximately 10" x 11". The cut canvas size is approximately 15" x 16" leaving ample room for strecher bars and doodle space.</p><p>If you have been to Hawaii you will readily recognize the beautiful icons of great memories on the Hawaiian Islands. You can’t think Hawaii and not see visions of sand, water, swaying palm trees and the lovely hibiscus and plumerias.</p><p>Class is limited to the number of handpainted canvases that are available. Class fee (including handpainted canvas) is $450. Participants will provide their own threads. A list of threads used will be posted in the private group so participants can begin gathering their threads for the class. Most threads are easily available and/or substituted. </p><p>Class will begin May 15, 2014. A <b>non-refundable</b> deposit of $150 will be needed to reserve your canvas. The balance of $300 will be due May 1st and canvas released at that time to participants. To reserve your spot send email to <span style="color: red;">duodesignsinc@gmail.com</span>. Once received you will get a PayPal invoice for the <b>non-refundable</b> deposit.</p><p>Well I'm off to ride my trike and enjoy this beautiful day!</p><p><br /></p>Sandy Arthurhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04311419682698237059noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4573231976384025645.post-42306273024713572782024-01-01T10:38:00.000-08:002024-01-01T10:38:49.101-08:00<span style="font-size: large;"><b>HAPPY NEW YEAR!<span> </span></b></span><div><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span><br /></span></b></span></div><div>I think most of us are ready to move on to 2024! This week I attended my first Ladies Luncheon. That involves a bunch of us getting together and going to a local or close by facility and enjoy each other's company. Next up for us is to get back to the shuffleboard court. Which we did yesterday. Finally, I am being taught how to play Hand and Foot and am on the substitute list.</p><p>On Sunday, hubby's birthday, the kids took us to lunch and we drove around and stopped at a lake. It really is different weather and quite an attitude adjustment as well as physical adjustment for us to go from very cold, snow, heavy coats to sunny days, short sleeves, and shorts - but we'll manage 😊 . It would be nice if my waistline could shrink as well as our tree size did. We have gone from an 11 ft tree to a 6.5 ft tree - but we surprisingly really like it. It fits perfect where we are. </p><p> As far as decorating here, the park appears to have about every theme represented. Lots of cartoon characters, super heros, palm trees with full coastal flair, and what we call traditional of some beautiful religious displays and of course santa and reindeer.</p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">Hubby has a birthday coming up tomorrow. The kids got him a trike so we now can ride together.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIvS3QZQh59Uw2fRSPM65U7nGWsx4XByL0YcT7Nlcw_MU921QK9-UREFfI3LdrTgE1vN6rTvYrfl2uaNc-uL2O6OIf5_kLz4MAHSFFJCv0kQCsEnInmKO2-h6qi2gKpVz5sClHaT5DPpErx8hmZ1E5Bu-zsb8n52GsDcvirhgIkMblS4Z-_jFieHeWNxw/s3021/IMG_1434.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3021" data-original-width="2007" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgIvS3QZQh59Uw2fRSPM65U7nGWsx4XByL0YcT7Nlcw_MU921QK9-UREFfI3LdrTgE1vN6rTvYrfl2uaNc-uL2O6OIf5_kLz4MAHSFFJCv0kQCsEnInmKO2-h6qi2gKpVz5sClHaT5DPpErx8hmZ1E5Bu-zsb8n52GsDcvirhgIkMblS4Z-_jFieHeWNxw/s320/IMG_1434.jpg" width="213" /></a></div><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>ONLINE CLASSES</b></span></p><p>Posted a little surprise for my students this past week. I must say, however, that our celebrations are nothing like Thanksgivings past. As time has taken more and more family and friends the circle grows smaller and smaller. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners were our family contributions for many, many years. Bake that turkey (minimum 22-25 lbs), stuff it with dressing, baked sweet potatoes, cranberry salad, potato salad made by hubby, watergate salad, deviled eggs, green beans - cooked and also casserole, homemade pumpkin pie, etc., etc. Now it seems the norm for our age group is to have dinner out as family is so scattered and schedules are so varied and full that is the most convenient option for all involved. We were blessed to have both our children with us, however, and thankful for that special gift.</p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>ONLINE CLASSES<span> </span></b></span></p><p>This past week we posted the mid-month lessons for the Groups.</p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;">Sea Shells on the Shore</i> had its final session. We are slowly but surely adding hubby's specialists as they can work in new patients. The drive is becoming more comfortable for me as it is becoming more familiar and not too bad. We have avoided rush hours so that might help.</p><p>It is becoming very busy around here as the snowbirds are flocking down. I don't even know the full timers like ourselves much less those who just come down part time. This will ease up as time goes on and we intermingle more. It amazes me how much people go in and out - seems like constantly.</p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>ONLINE CLASSES</b></span></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">This area of our lives seems to be starting to fall back into place - thank goodness. This coming week we will be sharing the final session of <b><i>Sea Shells on the Shore</i></b> by JP Needlepoint. Unbeknownst to me at the beginning of this class selection, I will have a new piece of needlework to display in our new Abode.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhemSAXV7DTwQKqBv4EQqjHoMsdUIzB7EtUfUczDL0uckGz2-0OsKbpq6KzztEAyNQg5Yvuc-bj2yOeVXrk1aan-do0OUM-nkJO7q-WHErTYRYLCpD2RY_rNUUo_d20F3RA8oKZdupAnlWTLEHfdCtjcw2HMZ9MNvohiWZM1DJdJmkA8b0G_1n2AbMmdSM/s1000/seashells%20on%20the%20shore%202.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="778" data-original-width="1000" height="249" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhemSAXV7DTwQKqBv4EQqjHoMsdUIzB7EtUfUczDL0uckGz2-0OsKbpq6KzztEAyNQg5Yvuc-bj2yOeVXrk1aan-do0OUM-nkJO7q-WHErTYRYLCpD2RY_rNUUo_d20F3RA8oKZdupAnlWTLEHfdCtjcw2HMZ9MNvohiWZM1DJdJmkA8b0G_1n2AbMmdSM/s320/seashells%20on%20the%20shore%202.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><span style="font-size: large;">We will be sharing the second session of the </span><b style="font-size: large;"><i>Ornaments Galore</i></b><span style="font-size: large;"> class as well. Since our address has changed all our book covers now have the old address. This is not a critical difference but one we will be changing as we deplete our inventory. One step we are taking to help with this depletion is running specials through the end of the year. Our first special involves our first set of books - <b><i>Shapes of Needlepoint</i></b>. This is a series of 4 books. The books have received the prestigious Literary Award twice from the American Needlepoint Guild - once for the publication of the first 2 Series and then again for the last 2 Series. Series I covers Circles, Squares, Triangles and Rectangles; Series II covers Diamonds Hearts, Octagons and Stars; Series III covers Corners, Hexagons, Ovals and Parallelograms; and, Series 4 covers Diagonals, Horizontals and Verticals. Currently the set of the 4 <i style="font-weight: bold;">Shapes of Needlepoint </i>retail in our Etsy Shop at $200 plus S/H. Our special offers the set of 4 at $150 plus S/H ($20- US shipping only). This price will be honored through the end of 2023 or until the current inventory is depleted. Email us at <span style="color: red;">duodesignsinc@gmail.com </span>to order and we will send a Paypal invoice right away.</span></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: medium;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQaeSCa7H5zX7L_zEcT_dPXXDHp0G7EzgsbO5vMRpLRHvOTLmnAPB8BQrdU73btJcKBv7h92QtQMZln6koDY46SjkMeshnbYFomqXxRBB1jjSafXuP2zsA5URHrKb8SnL325SvElGN5Wq5YmpL4AiL0Xr6sXGg_mUzpsObtenqCJJ6waAGedRXQUe20GQ/s4032/IMG_6551.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1802" data-original-width="4032" height="143" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQaeSCa7H5zX7L_zEcT_dPXXDHp0G7EzgsbO5vMRpLRHvOTLmnAPB8BQrdU73btJcKBv7h92QtQMZln6koDY46SjkMeshnbYFomqXxRBB1jjSafXuP2zsA5URHrKb8SnL325SvElGN5Wq5YmpL4AiL0Xr6sXGg_mUzpsObtenqCJJ6waAGedRXQUe20GQ/s320/IMG_6551.jpeg" width="320" /></a></span></div><span style="font-size: medium;"><br /></span><p></p><p><span style="font-size: medium;">That's it for this week folks - remember to Stich with a Smile!</span></p>Sandy Arthurhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04311419682698237059noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4573231976384025645.post-85357355326121098222023-11-04T17:29:00.003-07:002023-11-04T17:29:47.576-07:00<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;">HAPPY! We made a major move in late summer, hosted a fabulous Retreat in September and just finished up a Stitching Cruise through and on the Greek Islands this October.</p><p>Like I said - <span style="font-size: x-large;"><b>WOW!</b></span></p><p>I am now hopeful to be returning to some normalcy here at - where? Gotta come with a name for our abode as Arthur Acres is no more. We have the major portion of our unpacking done. A dramatic downsize offers some challenges that are not easy to get through but we push forward. Hubby had a health hiccup along the way but we have gotten through that and he is back to his normal (whatever that is).</p><p>We are now focusing on our online classes and making sure we bring them up to date. That should be cleaned up within the next couple off weeks! Watch your group postings and let me know if anything is missing.</p><p>Next up is the background work for our next domestic Retreat. Tentatively - yes, tentatively - we are steering towards the Florida west coast area around <b>January 2025.</b></p><p><span> We will, of course, have online classes in between - maybe even Zoom - who knows?</span></p><p>We will share details as they develop. At our last meetings - Retreat and Cruise - the group consensus was for this dateline. Also requested was to revitalize our <i style="font-weight: bold;">Uniquely Yours</i> sessions. These sessions involve your personal canvas of choice and stash selections. There will be a minimum of 2 days with a possibility of 4 days class offerings. Make sure to keep your calendar open for early January dates. We will share the dates as soon as the contracts are finalized. We are always excited to plan play dates with our stitchers.</p><p><b><span style="font-size: large;"><span>Duo Designs Stitching Retreat General Butler Resort State Park - September 2023 - Highlights </span></span></b></p><p><span>More perfect weather could not have been ordered for this fun event. Those driving had a lovely canvas to enjoy and those flying had smooth sailing.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiGuywWS2lYPiqpRJZA1Ygh63iWAS0r-bsOllAL6MhG_SsgFAkPIPTNdMCb54ZBR9KyzdXg4oTrQQF8EUnQvhhc6yzg_4FtZS2jt4Sga_nneFBMamFUg7FLs1gSuBHJzJrv0PbBGG0ga_Ra6XKxYKAS3HEmDHFHNuSrMNon8R85zksCyNx_DhwdoZygLHg/s4032/IMG_8816.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; Unfortunately, that did not materialize as planned as she developed a fever and became ill. So she had to be careful and take it easy and get her immune system back in check. Sad to have her so close but not to be able to play for a couple of days.<br /></span></p><p><span>Then there was this birthday! MINE! Yay! I am always happy to receive birthdays. This one had a very special surprise from my children - Terri (Mark), Tim (Lisa) and it was absolutely perfect! Something I wanted for our new life here in FL but thought it would have to wait for a bit.</span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo9OUYUeblqwIx84KpWKnT54MkkOizVZZBFG4zUuFYREO_7nnF9YD2bDeB9KT8BKEdsYmbON73fiG2_j9WQNw4qz776g1lvk7UHry0wkcU9vcuaQiuxUs7P_h5E5aMZ98QUKht3ef8zwKUFnY07AQE5B0X6mONaUTx9kXd8qh1FlK-yHWb2Utfj85V2jg/s4032/IMG_8572.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgo9OUYUeblqwIx84KpWKnT54MkkOizVZZBFG4zUuFYREO_7nnF9YD2bDeB9KT8BKEdsYmbON73fiG2_j9WQNw4qz776g1lvk7UHry0wkcU9vcuaQiuxUs7P_h5E5aMZ98QUKht3ef8zwKUFnY07AQE5B0X6mONaUTx9kXd8qh1FlK-yHWb2Utfj85V2jg/s320/IMG_8572.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I am beyond the moon! There was a knock on my door around 7 am (good thing I was dressed huh?) and it was our daughter up out of her sick bed. She told me to come outside and there was this beauty! The color is beyond happy! Such fun! I have taken it through the neighborhood every morning at 7 am and am loving it! <br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Then our next new experience was Hurricane Idalia (sp?). The time has come where participants have to make some decisions such as do they want BBQ ribs or BBQ chicken for one of the nightly plated dinners! Tough huh?<p></p><p>Finishing touches are going on the models as we plan, stitch, reverse stitch, try again, etc. Last minute items are being added to kits. Surprises galore are also being packed away to be shipped out in time for the great gathering. Oh my, oh my, oh my!</p><p>What can be any more glorious for stitchers than to run away for a beautiful weekend to play in a relaxing setting with fellow stitchers, renew acquaintances and add some new ones as well. A lovely group of ladies from coast to coast are joining us and we could not be more excited!</p><p><span style="font-size: medium;"><b>GREEK ISLES STITCHING CRUISE - October 13-23, 2023</b></span></p><p>No sooner do we unpack from our fabulous DDI Stitching Retreat than we gather up our items for the lovely Greece Isles Stitching Cruise! We will begin with 2 marvelous days in Venice - can never go to Venice too many times - before we board our ship to begin exploring so many lovely islands. We have been on this beautiful ship before and look forward to her spoiling us again - the Azamara Pursuit.<br /></p><p>Participants are busy selecting the excursions of their particular interests and also thinking of what they want to stitch and receive assistance with from the teachers while onboard. Some have sent pictures of what they will be working on and it is so fun to see and think about.</p><p>Well off to getting more stuff packed for shipping north - look forward to seeing those attending very soon! Stay safe and have a wonderful Labor Day here in the States.</p><p><span><br /></span></p>Sandy Arthurhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04311419682698237059noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4573231976384025645.post-55863106301110482222023-08-19T11:42:00.000-07:002023-08-19T11:42:35.302-07:00<p> YET ANOTHER SEMINAR FOR ANG HAS PASSED</p><p>This past week I was given the privilege of being a faculty member of the annual ANG Seminar. The location was Atlanta, GA. We have done Atlanta before but we were in Buckhead this time. </p><p>The Hotel was very nice and our classrooms were comfortable and nice as well. My students for both classes were spectacular! I am always so lucky to draw the bestest of the best students! We have fun but get the job done! The time just flew by. Seems we just got started and then all of a sudden class was over. </p><p>It was so great to see fellow teachers and previous students in person again. It seemed like forever since we were together in this venue. I know next year will be just as amazing.</p><p><b>DUO DESIGNS STITCHING RETREAT - Carrollton, KY - September 22-25, 2023</b></p><p>Now that this event is behind us we are focusing on our upcoming Stitching Retreat in September in Northern Kentucky. People are still signing up and as long as the Resort can fit them in we will accept them.</p><p>Teresa Kinberger has been working diligently on <b>Boss Lady</b> by Gayla Elliott. She has added some fantastic threads to a mix of fabulous stitch techniques. We can't wait to share them with you.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjezAo_B3Ol7H0mjzyMzNH0Iw9iQCb8JUkuFsuHvf5dJrUFkEpZ3W2JdZlBOguA6zCXVxfM59-n-GOzHzHArbHsuoaRf1Voe2L760BIv9hAa8bvBhT313T9EzJ6e4ZT8WnxublgIOe4HWWe-P9iPfa8GpnKVs1dY-BKYpBFs1WfNyoRoh0y9jOLm40F7ZA/s594/6E4698BC-F6CF-412E-9D44-C800A380273C_1_105_c.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="566" data-original-width="594" height="305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjezAo_B3Ol7H0mjzyMzNH0Iw9iQCb8JUkuFsuHvf5dJrUFkEpZ3W2JdZlBOguA6zCXVxfM59-n-GOzHzHArbHsuoaRf1Voe2L760BIv9hAa8bvBhT313T9EzJ6e4ZT8WnxublgIOe4HWWe-P9iPfa8GpnKVs1dY-BKYpBFs1WfNyoRoh0y9jOLm40F7ZA/s320/6E4698BC-F6CF-412E-9D44-C800A380273C_1_105_c.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We're excited to see how the framing turns out for this piece.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I, Sandy Arthur, am working on the <b>Stitching Girl with her Horse.</b> This is an exclusive design that Gayla Elliott created for the Retreat. You will be the only ones able to get this design for some time so enjoy the exclusiveness. I, too, love playing with unusual threads and techniques. We have lots of unusual things to share with you.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3zOs6rQdJmlK6F-GcLRADzf51YtExcEWjoa777F7vhVmCctNQ74US--QQYUzOrTYQZSx3lr7g4ZIBHHVm-Z_euUQeRocSt4zUoAGWf1Fy_igFDcompPoIQZI2jynXe0-zuYsQiK8_pXBJf8BoCRJpgsX60CA85coIak6ImUXlCoQ6ttlWky1DzYSn4ZQ/s2967/Equine%20Girl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2892" data-original-width="2967" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3zOs6rQdJmlK6F-GcLRADzf51YtExcEWjoa777F7vhVmCctNQ74US--QQYUzOrTYQZSx3lr7g4ZIBHHVm-Z_euUQeRocSt4zUoAGWf1Fy_igFDcompPoIQZI2jynXe0-zuYsQiK8_pXBJf8BoCRJpgsX60CA85coIak6ImUXlCoQ6ttlWky1DzYSn4ZQ/s320/Equine%20Girl.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">In addition to the class days, the nights are also filled with stitching, surprises, prizes and camaraderie. As many who have taken our cruises and played with us before well know, it is always wise to leave some extra space in your luggage.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We also plan to have a 'stash' table where you can bring some things you no longer plan to stitch or use and leave them for someone else to love. Heck, you might find something you have been looking for too. Think of threads, tools, canvases, stitch guides, etc. We are not permitted to sell items on the premises so keep that in mind.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Friday evening we will host a Reception where those participants will have the opportunity to meet the artist, Gayla Elliott. You will register at this time and receive your Welcome Bag. After the reception we will have dinner and some stitching surprises.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hope you can join us. Mercy!</p><p>Still in the transition mode here at the Arthur Abode. Slowly but surely a tub here or there becomes empty. A great deal of my time right now is working with the VA on setting up appointments with specialists, getting his medications back in line etc. They have approved his ramp for this place and should be installing it next week sometime. Progess.</p><p>We're finding our way around pretty good. We have the grocery store and with Bill we go at least twice a week, If up to him we'd go daily. We've found a couple restaurants new to us that Teresa and Mark introduced us to and we've been able to find them again. Of course Burger King is almost walking distance and we somehow manage to go by and get our 50 cent soft cone on a regular basis.</p><p>Bank and Post Office are very handy too! The VA is actually about 30 minutes away. The first couple trips it seemed to take forever. Not so bad now that we are use to the road - interstate all the way. But upon reflection it took me 25 minutes to get to the VA in Lexington on a good day - lol.</p><p>We'll see what the new doctors bring next week. Our first visit Monday is one mile away! </p><p><b>ANG NATIONAL SEMINAR ATLANTA</b></p><p>Well this time next week we will be at Seminar. Looking forward to seeing friends I haven't seen in quite some time. Believe me, at our age and the heat that is a major accomplishment. While there is no rush I still desire to get through all this stuff so I can at least have some idea where something is or at least the vicinity of its location. Hubby is unable to help unfortunately so that makes the process even slower. Our living part is in pretty good shape. We can eat, sleep, bathe, etc. enjoy the TV and our surroundings. </p><p>My issue is 'my stuff'. You know all the crafting, Cricut, needlepoint canvases, threads, etc., etc., etc. I just cannot bare to let it go but it is silly to hold on the way I am. I will need to find someone to start listing some of this for me. I have way too many Melissa Shirley Stockings, halloween stuff, partially stitched class pieces etc., etc. that someone might value and cherish and free them from the doom of living their remaining years closed off in a box or container of some sort.</p><p>As I said, we are moving forward.</p><p>ANG NATIONAL SEMINAR - ATLANTA </p><p>Just around the corner. I am so excited to be preparing for this event. It seems a lifetime ago that I was teaching a group when in reality it was only a few weeks before our major downsize.</p><p>Two classes are on my agenda. One is on Beards - we will cover different techniques using different threads and play with various ideas for different facial effects.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioM5zigAZS1gvJhebLaQ3XZrLmnchp1FI3pbB54JzJYddlvJGeW9n_2cMOB1TkrOa6CtTVgA7N6b8xi6NlTCDt5A3pPpnt-dYQFRsAL7TMF4R_y-s2Ywm8SD_Im5Gb9L3th9VqgCTxneFKlFcPda1P70Rzr5xnlERDaKB0uBmujGX4YllfWS6sZI3N01A/s4032/IMG_2727-1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4032" data-original-width="3024" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEioM5zigAZS1gvJhebLaQ3XZrLmnchp1FI3pbB54JzJYddlvJGeW9n_2cMOB1TkrOa6CtTVgA7N6b8xi6NlTCDt5A3pPpnt-dYQFRsAL7TMF4R_y-s2Ywm8SD_Im5Gb9L3th9VqgCTxneFKlFcPda1P70Rzr5xnlERDaKB0uBmujGX4YllfWS6sZI3N01A/s320/IMG_2727-1.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><p>The next class is on Baskets. What a couple months we have had.</p><p>This has been a very hectic, grueling, emotional, traumatic and stressful few months at Arthur Acres. Life has dealt a few bumps that has resulted in our decision to downsize from our 43 year residence. Those who know of our home know how much of a change/loss this is to us. We felt it was time, however difficult it might be, to make this major change while we both had our health and ability to do so. Arthur Acres has just become unmanageable for me to handle basically by myself at this stage in our lives.</p><p>So, after several trips to Good Will, dumpster loads and hasty decisions we have gotten our 'stuff' to an almost manageable size. I am hopeful that I will be able to get back on track and direct my attention to my love of needlework.</p><p><span>It is important that I add here that we would not have been able to get through </span>this <span> </span>process as well as we did without the hard work, pushing, support, and love of our children. Young muscles and unattached sentiments are quite helpful at times like these!</p><p>My next focus is the ANG Seminar being held in Atlanta next month. I will be teaching techniques classes: one is on Beards and the other is on Baskets! Creating kits this coming week so that will be a good distraction from the boxes that still need to be emptied (but not critical).</p><p>Once we return from Seminar we will be concentrating on our upcoming Duo Designs Stitching Retreat at General Butler Resort State Park in Carrollton, KY in September. We are very excited about this fun event in a peaceful setting.</p><p>Then in October we will be heading abroad and enjoying our Greek Isles Stitching Cruise! So looking forward to playing again aboard the beautiful Azamara ship!</p><p>Okay, enough about what has been distracting me here at Arthur Acres.</p><p><b><span style="font-size: large;">Duo Designs Stitching Retreat - September 2023</span></b></p><p>Can you believe we are processing registration fees for the upcoming Stitching Retreat featuring Gayla Elliott's Stitching Girls? Where did the time go?</p><p>We have the full gamut of stitchers from beginners to the seasoned ones. They hail from California to Pennsylvania! They are stitchers, teachers, designers, distributors, vendors, etc. We are going to have so much fun and gain knowledge beyond the classroom!</p><p>If you are still considering joining us, do no drag your feet too long - the clock is ticking. Just email us at <span style="color: red;">duodesignsinc@gmail.com</span> so you can come play with us.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRzxkmqJX-bb0CrOBUEDgfEaPEebr_v9ANXh_KA1EXnh585yecQdhhkHef1AQabXvrs0uxfpMWujAWUSwPTNLqj0XC_6p7QC-sN51vAu9tq3ZALd7ZpIhbclxlXTCh3IcybYLLIE0gepppWzjxcQFBd4U9NYYkygKkMn6DO5LNwGQvvmoqgnO13dqd/s2967/Equine%20Girl.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2892" data-original-width="2967" height="312" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRzxkmqJX-bb0CrOBUEDgfEaPEebr_v9ANXh_KA1EXnh585yecQdhhkHef1AQabXvrs0uxfpMWujAWUSwPTNLqj0XC_6p7QC-sN51vAu9tq3ZALd7ZpIhbclxlXTCh3IcybYLLIE0gepppWzjxcQFBd4U9NYYkygKkMn6DO5LNwGQvvmoqgnO13dqd/s320/Equine%20Girl.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Nu4VN4D_nWq2fNEx5QzPRms2Gbk2gk3pFCepk_Ps5abKycf3y4DwacjULIRxOAE-MFbfqk6nOnN9h4C0MIkccPhIbfglstOxQrIep8qg7JAFrAgydvRTYAGeTyEWsEPG19dX8C5Jnz6g_c0H2Vjt1oEWZuNmHatF3PRRft9weVtr8XkTLJKEAIby/s1503/FB%20HEADER2.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="591" data-original-width="1503" height="126" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Nu4VN4D_nWq2fNEx5QzPRms2Gbk2gk3pFCepk_Ps5abKycf3y4DwacjULIRxOAE-MFbfqk6nOnN9h4C0MIkccPhIbfglstOxQrIep8qg7JAFrAgydvRTYAGeTyEWsEPG19dX8C5Jnz6g_c0H2Vjt1oEWZuNmHatF3PRRft9weVtr8XkTLJKEAIby/s320/FB%20HEADER2.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNZfiNCCxx_aixPmYwf_oANwBL2n7uAAwzWeHq6iSauWBFe4pbrWmnRVTBIWUhwGMcFYven-8jVp_MIczDhyJAyWLU_SHZJ10T34l7p8I4YJAICSeb0unVEPWOvV7XoRFJTULVapDt7FnBwD7lWXfggQ9mX8cfSKsjZ1rpLmF1LQmuLY8UynE0z84p/s594/6E4698BC-F6CF-412E-9D44-C800A380273C_1_105_c.jpeg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="566" data-original-width="594" height="305" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNZfiNCCxx_aixPmYwf_oANwBL2n7uAAwzWeHq6iSauWBFe4pbrWmnRVTBIWUhwGMcFYven-8jVp_MIczDhyJAyWLU_SHZJ10T34l7p8I4YJAICSeb0unVEPWOvV7XoRFJTULVapDt7FnBwD7lWXfggQ9mX8cfSKsjZ1rpLmF1LQmuLY8UynE0z84p/s320/6E4698BC-F6CF-412E-9D44-C800A380273C_1_105_c.jpeg" width="320" /></a></div><b><br /></b><p></p><p><b>ONLINE CLASSES</b></p><p>Our new/repeat class the <b>Three Wisemen Encore </b>has had its first session shared with participants. Mercy! And I do NOT like cold. Our wonderful fireplace has been placed in turbo mode. We've had a fire almost every day for the past week! Love them. Ice is extremely dangerous and we cannot walk outside - even with the area salted. We have large broken tree branches blocking our driveway but fortunately we do not need to get out. This is supposed to remain for several more days - tomorrow prediction shows 9 degrees! WOW! But the cold weather will soon pass and spring is just around the corner.</p><p><b>POCKETBOOK SERIES </b></p><p>We are thrilled to release a third book in our Pocketbook Series. <b>Stitching With Stars</b> will hit the shop shelves mid-March. </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LXCf-TmxmTs/YCWDpJGq5MI/AAAAAAAAFrE/xZjOUurUcDAPLXfrFGpVS0S-7qOglPnHwCNcBGAsYHQ/s2048/STITCHING%2BWITH%2BSTARS%2BCOVER.%2Bts_Page_1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1325" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LXCf-TmxmTs/YCWDpJGq5MI/AAAAAAAAFrE/xZjOUurUcDAPLXfrFGpVS0S-7qOglPnHwCNcBGAsYHQ/s320/STITCHING%2BWITH%2BSTARS%2BCOVER.%2Bts_Page_1.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p>Here's a sneak peek of one of the pages in the book. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMmvd_nbieM/YCWEDVM703I/AAAAAAAAFrM/KV1MSgeuXf8ioCtbyIxwBbENyExY-WJjQCNcBGAsYHQ/s877/149073173_3843446195720194_7982310176349986958_n.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="877" data-original-width="620" height="400" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WMmvd_nbieM/YCWEDVM703I/AAAAAAAAFrM/KV1MSgeuXf8ioCtbyIxwBbENyExY-WJjQCNcBGAsYHQ/w284-h400/149073173_3843446195720194_7982310176349986958_n.jpg" width="284" /></a></div><br />Shops have been preordering. Lucky you! Registration opens for ANG members for the Seminar this coming Monday, February 8. Others can register beginning February 15. This year's Seminar is to be held in Kansas City, MO and is scheduled to in person. </p><p>Now one of the big advantages for being an ANG member and getting to register early is that there is limited capacity for the classes as set forth by the hotel. So go to their website and take a look at what is being offered! needlepoint.org - go to events and you should find the seminar registration form, classes offered, host hotel, etc. </p><p>We are fortunate enough to have been selected to teach 3 classes this year.</p><p>Up first is miss<b> Heloise Hooty - 20701 scheduled for August 7-8, 2021.</b></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nnfvGl1LaIk/Um5uvXNTgVI/AAAAAAAAA7Q/DYAARS5eaZ8-4b7wjyH5bTPPLpa9cFE5QCPcBGAYYCw/s575/photo.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="575" data-original-width="475" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-nnfvGl1LaIk/Um5uvXNTgVI/AAAAAAAAA7Q/DYAARS5eaZ8-4b7wjyH5bTPPLpa9cFE5QCPcBGAYYCw/s320/photo.JPG" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w28zTgtTchc/Um_BsxwtOII/AAAAAAAAA84/lGTqjDkeDZ0eZF33riH6l1XUhCTG6anqQCPcBGAYYCw/s320/Heloise%2Bstitched.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="252" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-w28zTgtTchc/Um_BsxwtOII/AAAAAAAAA84/lGTqjDkeDZ0eZF33riH6l1XUhCTG6anqQCPcBGAYYCw/s0/Heloise%2Bstitched.JPG" /></a></div>Isn't she just the coolest? She has a plethora of stitches and techniques that we will be sharing. In addition to specialty fibers, beads and crystals, there will be needle felting and a felting needle is provided. The design area its 9" x 9" and is painted on 18ct canvas. Thorough stitch instructions with clear diagrams and a color photo of the finished design. This gal is lots and lots of fun! This is a handpainted canvas from ACOD. We will provide information for ordering an upgrade of felting tools for those who are registered for the class.<b><br /></b><p></p><p>One of my favorites for the student who is not real confident in their execution of stitches or who may desire more area to practice is this fabulous design of <b>Vessels - 20901 - August 9-10, 2021.</b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CZXuQK8jNwk/XEzJv1M-XqI/AAAAAAAAELQ/3UDeLH8_U84eYzbN0Ztgi9ky6i51B83OwCPcBGAYYCw/s350/Holden%252C%2BJaci%2BTheVesselsSPQ5404.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="350" data-original-width="350" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-CZXuQK8jNwk/XEzJv1M-XqI/AAAAAAAAELQ/3UDeLH8_U84eYzbN0Ztgi9ky6i51B83OwCPcBGAYYCw/s320/Holden%252C%2BJaci%2BTheVesselsSPQ5404.jpg" /></a></div><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ckXis7lnk6M/XEquFfkLQOI/AAAAAAAAEK8/XYPwms6BBcQPJatBKNYH4c9cCBu4OVlZgCPcBGAYYCw/s2048/IMG_0670-1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1983" data-original-width="2048" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ckXis7lnk6M/XEquFfkLQOI/AAAAAAAAEK8/XYPwms6BBcQPJatBKNYH4c9cCBu4OVlZgCPcBGAYYCw/s320/IMG_0670-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I love the amount of canvas area that this design affords the student to really get the feel of the stitch or technique. Lots of fun to stitch. Lots of interesting threads and fascinating stitches and techniques. Can't wait to share with our cruising stitchers. Email us at <span style="color: red;">duodesignsinc@yahoo.com</span> for information on the trip and the Optional class - or visit Needles 'N Fins Stitching Adventures group for discussion.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm getting so excited. He gets his second one next week.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>ONLINE MYSTERY CLASSES</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I made a giant leap for me today. I host4ed a Zoom meeting with some of my online class participants. This techie stuff drives me crazy. I think it went fair. The biggest issue from my end was to get my new wireless headset set up. I couldn't tell if I was projecting or not., Eventually I got that part fixed. I think I should be able to hear the participants better so I need to work on that. Oh well, as they say, Rome wasn't made in a day.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">It was really great to see everyone! That was a real bonus for a dreary day. Lifts your spirits immediately.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Looking forward to the next one in a couple weeks.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Our adorable Two by Two from Strictly Christmas will have its first session in a couple weeks. What a week we have witnessed in this great country of ours. I'm ready to get back to normalcy on all fronts! Hope it comes soon.</p><p>In KY they are giving some of the vaccines now - our front line workers are being taken care of first - as it should be. We are not to the place (at least here in my county) were Phase 1B seniors are invited to get the vaccine. Hope to be soon.</p><p>One disruption we had this months that saddened many of us. Our annual stitch away at our area state park was cancelled. I know it is not anywhere on the scale of what is going on the world but in our little cubicle it was important to us. It historically is on MLK weekend so we have a long weekend to stitch, visit, catch up and of course eat! But this year our event had to be cancelled. It is one of the few times my daughter and I get to go play without any interference whatsoever. So, being the daughter that she is, we are having our own special stitch away. We are meeting halfway, have a suite for easily delivered meals so we can have a smaller version of our annual event. Big miss is our fellow friends sharing what is happening in their lives and seeing the plethora of stitching that has been accomplished during this past year. Next year hopefully!</p><p><b>HAWAII ON THE HORIZON</b></p><p>As stated before, we are so excited to be moving forward on our upcoming <b>Hawaiian Island </b>Hopping Stitching Cruise. It is wonderful that we are getting so many requests for the brochures and interest in the trip. It is going to be so lovely. </p><p>One of my goals on the above stitch away is to finish the exclusive Optional Class model so I can share it with you. It is going to be such a fantastic souvenir! I know you are going to love it!</p><p>We are highlighting some things on our itinerary each week. Last week we made our plans to get to Honolulu and start our fun trip. </p><p>After we settle in to our hotel we will check out what all is going on around us. We will have 2 .5 days before we head for the ship. The beaches are fabulous, there is so much shopping that you might want to ship home your fantastic finds before we begin our cruise. I'm not much of a shopper and even I got carried away at the Market. Then of course there will be our first stitching class. More about the class next week.</p><p>Generally the first thing one thinks about when hearing about going to Honolulu is the Pearl Harbor Tour. If you have not had the privilege of visiting this Memorial you might want to seriously consider doing so. For me it was a very emotional experience. My Daddy fought in the front lines during WWII.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PsgVKD0-VuA/X_m2yppc34I/AAAAAAAAFnw/OuM9n-OEzwovdSlszQPYo7Jcxz5B6ZueQCNcBGAsYHQ/s950/pearl%2Bharbor.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="534" data-original-width="950" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PsgVKD0-VuA/X_m2yppc34I/AAAAAAAAFnw/OuM9n-OEzwovdSlszQPYo7Jcxz5B6ZueQCNcBGAsYHQ/s320/pearl%2Bharbor.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>The Ala Moana Center is a must for your shoppers! If you can't find it here you probably can't find it on the Island!<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7WMXNwDZIH8/X_m01ThknjI/AAAAAAAAFnY/_rHvtPqDf_YbXNc-DWiqYMPf8XfyCIKbwCNcBGAsYHQ/s560/AlaMoana%2B1.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="373" data-original-width="560" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-7WMXNwDZIH8/X_m01ThknjI/AAAAAAAAFnY/_rHvtPqDf_YbXNc-DWiqYMPf8XfyCIKbwCNcBGAsYHQ/s320/AlaMoana%2B1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LnqLgEiJE88/X_m02KXw6GI/AAAAAAAAFnc/MXLOIPKcufMjePJQQ8zLLGMYLmA9n3WvQCNcBGAsYHQ/s700/AlaMona2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="448" data-original-width="700" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-LnqLgEiJE88/X_m02KXw6GI/AAAAAAAAFnc/MXLOIPKcufMjePJQQ8zLLGMYLmA9n3WvQCNcBGAsYHQ/s320/AlaMona2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><p>This center is advertised as the world's largest outdoor shopping mall and I can believe it. Make sure you have your cell phones because you will likely get separated from your shopping friend as there is so much to see and pull you in separate directions.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Of course there are many other options our agent is recommending so be sure to discuss with them. Boy are we happy to see you!</p><p>Okay, 2020 is behind us. There is still much lingering baggage but we choose to see 2021 as a new light of hope. There is no magical wand that will cure everything but we can savor the idea that the vaccines will help us through these trying times. There is so much to rebuild but we need to take baby steps. We must remember that as the saying goes 'Rome wasn't built in a day'. It is difficult because we are a nation of wanting action and results <b>now</b> and that is not always possible. Anyway here's to 2021!</p><p><b>NEEDLES 'N FINS STITCHING ADVENTURES</b></p><p>We are so happy to share our brochure for the upcoming Hawaiian Island Hopping Stitching Cruise for September 30 through October 9, 2021! Email us at <span style="color: red;">duodesignsinc@yahoo.com</span> and just ask for us to send it. For some reason I am having difficulty embedding the pdf in the blog like I used to. I also noticed that all my previous pdfs are missing from past posts. Not sure what is going on. We'll get it figured out eventually.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QvII_2wul9Q/X-94iztjTNI/AAAAAAAAFm8/o6rz9B-Ck2QLGxYnlvjWWwsoC7g8aKW7QCPcBGAYYCw/s1200/DuoDesign%2BHawaii%2BBrochure.%2B112-29-20_Page_2_Image_0002.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="675" data-original-width="1200" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-QvII_2wul9Q/X-94iztjTNI/AAAAAAAAFm8/o6rz9B-Ck2QLGxYnlvjWWwsoC7g8aKW7QCPcBGAYYCw/s320/DuoDesign%2BHawaii%2BBrochure.%2B112-29-20_Page_2_Image_0002.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Many of us are most anxious to get back out there and enjoy traveling and revisiting with our friends.</div><p></p><p>Have a look at the above Facebook Group - Needles 'N Fins Stitching Adventures. If you visit this Facebook Group you can chat with many who have taken cruises with Duo Designs in the past. I am sure they will gladly share their experiences with you so just ask. You can also look at the Hawaiian Island Hopping Stitching Cruise brochure that is on file in that group as well.</p><p>We will begin our journey by adding 2 days at the front end of the NCL cruise so we can play in Honolulu. Read up on some of the plans in the post over at Needles 'N Fins. This gives us time to overcome the jet lag (for those of us who are a bit older), enjoy the beach or even go shopping! All within walking distance of our beautiful hotel.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n1JNI16XvVM/X94S58DMzwI/AAAAAAAAFk8/HeV154488JED_9RwSxd7UqnG97hlbKHCwCPcBGAYYCw/s1200/ARWB_Resort-Exterior_1333x2000-812x1200.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="812" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-n1JNI16XvVM/X94S58DMzwI/AAAAAAAAFk8/HeV154488JED_9RwSxd7UqnG97hlbKHCwCPcBGAYYCw/s320/ARWB_Resort-Exterior_1333x2000-812x1200.jpg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The luxurious Alohilani Resort Hotel will make us feel like kings and queens!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Our travel agent has worked to put together some suggested excursions for those wanting to explore the island on their own in more depth. We have introduced several threads that might be new to many of you has well. I particularly love the thread I used for Noah's beard. Can't wait to share. I have just about decided that we probably will donate this piece to the Shriner's Children's Hospital. My husband is a 50+ year Mason, I am a past Eastern Star member, our daughter (and partner in Duo Designs) was very active in state level of Rainbow Girls and our son participated in DeMolay. So to me it seemed fitting that this might be a good place to make this donation.<div><br /></div><div>Remember we will have classes on:</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kPv9yeQY_Hw/X56WqERNRyI/AAAAAAAAFdk/CaUVGwnj2bw30QYT3g0SNyqu_kqXWE9wACPcBGAYYCw/s2048/Besties%2BLNF.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1536" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kPv9yeQY_Hw/X56WqERNRyI/AAAAAAAAFdk/CaUVGwnj2bw30QYT3g0SNyqu_kqXWE9wACPcBGAYYCw/s320/Besties%2BLNF.jpeg" /> BESTIES from Duo Designs, Inc.</a><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kPv9yeQY_Hw/X56WqERNRyI/AAAAAAAAFdk/CaUVGwnj2bw30QYT3g0SNyqu_kqXWE9wACPcBGAYYCw/s2048/Besties%2BLNF.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"> </a><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_24wvgXZUMQ/X7JluHZ9d0I/AAAAAAAAFho/jRzZnK1pepsipfg_j2wgc7wWnQduoc2KQCPcBGAYYCw/s2607/AMERICAN%2BTRAIN.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1207" data-original-width="2607" height="220" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-_24wvgXZUMQ/X7JluHZ9d0I/AAAAAAAAFho/jRzZnK1pepsipfg_j2wgc7wWnQduoc2KQCPcBGAYYCw/w476-h220/AMERICAN%2BTRAIN.JPG" width="476" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b> from Raymond Crawford</b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SeVTLgewbJs/X85eZwlMiDI/AAAAAAAAFkQ/5f4CBWjCWoUi5t9njB1FMoanInVfRHJxQCPcBGAYYCw/s1271/Heafrts%2Bfrom%2BDeeDee.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><b><img border="0" data-original-height="1271" data-original-width="1242" height="320" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SeVTLgewbJs/X85eZwlMiDI/AAAAAAAAFkQ/5f4CBWjCWoUi5t9njB1FMoanInVfRHJxQCPcBGAYYCw/s320/Heafrts%2Bfrom%2BDeeDee.JPG" /></b></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><br /></b></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>PRE-ORDERS FOR NEW POCKETBOOK SERIES - LEAPING THRU LEAVES</b></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pNMvCRXo_7U/X-IKIGqWSkI/AAAAAAAAFlU/Z6mc078CW-gx4YT9L-w_tREV-GELET11QCPcBGAYYCw/s320/LEAFING%2BTHRU%2BLEAVES_PROOF%2B%2Bof%2Bpics_Page_01.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="320" data-original-width="207" src="https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pNMvCRXo_7U/X-IKIGqWSkI/AAAAAAAAFlU/Z6mc078CW-gx4YT9L-w_tREV-GELET11QCPcBGAYYCw/s0/LEAFING%2BTHRU%2BLEAVES_PROOF%2B%2Bof%2Bpics_Page_01.jpeg" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">We are thrilled at the reception of our new addition to the Pocketbook Series. This was in respect to us as we are in that 'touchy' category - you know - old and not 100%. Our children took turns spending some time with us on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so that was beyond wonderful albeit not all together. Of course with today's technology (even though we do not know how to fully utilize it) we did get to 'see' the babies. They are at that magical age! Santa came to see them and their excitement is contagious. WOW! Sad how quickly they will outgrow this magical phase. BTW I saw some very strange dolls and goodness the boy's playroom looks like a MacDonalds place to play!</p><p>Some of our highlights were the hot cocoa bombs that Teresa made - such fun - and the fabulous prime rib that Tim made - such deliciousness! Say whatever you will about the Arthurs one thing for sure is they do not lack in the eating department!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b>BOOKS! BOOKS!
